About Me

Deborah Miller, having been recognized numerous times by the Wisconsin Music Teacher's Association as a "Teacher Of Excellence"  specializes in classical performance training.  Her studio consists of students beginning at age six through the college level. She consistently produces award winning and scholarship receiving students.  She attributes her success to the fact that she has always sought out the finest teachers for her own personal study.  She believes that the study of the piano is not just another casual activity, but something that should be taken seriously.   Offering the highest standard of musical excellence, she pushes her students to attain this goal, while still making learning fun.  Her studio is the place where even other teachers go to learn.

Deborah holds a  B.M. in piano performance from the University of Wisconsin and a M.M. in piano performance from Indiana University.    Her major teachers include Christopher Finkelmeyer, Gyorgy Sebok, Stephen Swedish and Annie Petit.

Deborah is also a performer, having made several appearances before the Schubert Music Club of Kenosha as a guest artist.  In 2014 she toured Italy and gave performances in several major cities. She is also a church musician, professional accompanist,  piano adjudicator for WMTA and WSMA and has spoken to various piano teacher groups within Wisconsin. In addition to teachhing in her private piano studio in Kenosha, she also has given many master classes in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois

Deborah held the position of President of the Kenosha Music Teacher's Association from 2003 - 2011.  She is currently the coordinator of the Margaret Schmitt Memorial Chopin Competition, which is sponsored by the Kenosha Music Teacher's Association and held in the even numbered years.

Deborah's students participate in an annual recital, WMTA Spring Auditions, Badger Auditions, WSMA Solo & Ensemble Festival, The Margaret Schmitt Memorial Chopin Competition as well as the RMTA bi-annual piano competition.

Many of her students have won piano competitions as well as full college scholarships for music.

 Award Winning Music Instruction

Paulette Garin, M. Ed.

Miss Garin has provided award-winning instruction to hundreds of students. She is motivated by her love of music and the passion to transfer her knowledge and skills to others so their creativity and talent can shine. She has taught students of all ages and abilities for many years having several who have gone on to major in music themselves.

A native Kenoshan, Miss Garin is a cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she attended on a 4-year Music Department Scholarship studying both piano and voice. She also holds a Masters in Education from Loyola University Chicago. The Wisconsin Music Teachers Association has twice recognized Miss Garin for “Proven Teaching Excellence.

Miss Garin says, "Working with my students on a daily basis and the relationships that I have established with them is probably the primary thing I enjoy about my work. Piano/voice study often continues for years so I come to know my students quite well. It is so rewarding to see them grow and develop in their music abilities often from the time they are small until they graduate High School. I also enjoy working with the many adult students who have come to my studio over the years either as brand new beginners or someone wanting to renew their music skills from childhood."

Piano Lessons

"I teach using the most current books and teaching materials for piano study and follow the curriculum guidelines of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association District Auditions/Badger Competition.

My goal is for them to become great note readers with beautiful technique and interpretation following a path to Classical Music, BUT I also teach Christmas songs, Ragtime, Jazz, Disney, etc. to capture my students' interest."

Voice Lessons

"In my career I have worked with young singers as a school music teacher, director of musical productions, and in a private studio setting as instructor/accompanist.

With young singers, my immediate goals are to help them sing on pitch with correct rhythm and diction as well as work with them on proper breath control."

About Me
Thrilled to finally be living in Wisconsin! I've been teaching music for over 15 years, everything from general music in the classroom to kids rock bands and musical theatre summer camps. I am offering private lessons in piano and vocal coaching. I'm a relaxed, no-stress fun teacher, but we get the job done! I have a very limited schedule for teaching private lessons, so I am not available to travel to you, but have a comfortable home studio in Kenosha, WI. I am happy to take on new, first time beginning piano students! I love bringing music and confidence into peoples lives!

About Me

I enjoy teaching music instruction from the earliest beginning levels to the advanced level. I am a church musician, as well, and welcome helping students coordinate music needed for their worship services. I enjoy opening the wonders of many musical genres to students, from the classics to more modern sounds, including popular music.
